Woke up this morning with a smile on my face, thinking about my "sweet tnt" oh how I love my country. Can't believe we are going to the world cup. I just sad I here missing all the festivities. We definitely are a blessed country and we need to stop the hating and be on with our lives. I feel like jumping in the streets....but it don't have any of that going on here. The closest thing is the Classics in Orlando this weekend. But I got too much work for that.

Today was a great day. Got up to go school early and get work done. Did not get much work done at all, but the day was great. Well it started quite chilly. I bust out the door in my no-sleeve top.....ooooohhhhh! Man I had to take the jacket from over my arm and put it on. As I start walk up the road...I turn back, cause I needed another jacket. I ain't care what nobody say, I Think it is better if it was snowing. At least you would know to expect the cold. Hot sun outside and the place to cold for this trini gal. By the time I got to school walking, cause the bus driver decided to come when I halfway to the school right in between stops...my nose was running and eyes were all dried out. Inside the studio was a great temperature.

Anyway, had my teaching job today, which went well, sep since this was the last for the semester. Got some advise for my thesis. Gotta keep options open, but I loving the ideas. Got a ride to the mall to buy lunch, and I guess the guy I went with was on trini time, cause he said he would only be a minute, but we waited like 45 mins before he was ready to go and then we went to drop off stuff...took forever. Anyway, the city of Tally-ho had an International students reception. It was great!!! For all the University studetns in the area. Everyone was there, from some buddist monks to chinese, to indian, islanders etc. Everyone and the food. Food always is in abbundance on the same day.I bought luch had lunch home, and got lunch at the reception and was supposed to go to a students dinner, but I couldn't make it. I hope they not player hating me, since I was to bring the plates and cups \(which I already bought and had home\). But since I could not get a ride and had no idea where it was....the night continued with other activities.  The reception was great, esp with the dance the students from my school put on. All trinis of course. They start off with some indian dancing the busted out the Machel and people start the wining and thing...then some drunks came out ...man I did feel as if I was home. Talk bout food....steups...they had jamaican, roti somthing and nuff nuff finger food.

Aye! Talking bout that, this weekend was the Caribbean students association conference, for all the CSA memebers in Florida. I was real vex I couldn't go...miss the whole weekedn of activities. I hear they had over 900 caribbean students. And you know the Trinis as 'bus de dance' at the talent show. Anyway, I finially crossed from being a pledge to a brother in the Fraternity. Took long enough! Thank God that over, now I can move on......to the activities of brotherhood. This was why I missed all the CSA stuff.

Anyway after the reception I went to the black on black rhyme night. Talk about hyped. Tonight for the first time I felt well relaxed. Went to a Black on Black Poetry night at Mt. Zion \( http://www.blackonblackrhyme.com/ \) It was hype and off the chain. The whole Haitian club came that night. Talk about poetry to feed the soul...oooohhh! I think I felt so much emotion. I can't even describe the poetry but it was beautiful, rough, soulful,creative......Mt. Zion is the place on Thursday nights. Lol!  It was off the cain though...loved it.

So much can happen in a day....no wonder I ain't get no work done!!!!
